1.Easiest Basbusa Recipe
Ingredients:
- 370gram Condensed Milk
- 1 cup full oil(Measure in a condense milk can)
- 2 Eggs
- 1tsp baking powder
- 1/2tsp fresh cream
- 1tbsp Vanilla Essence
- 1-1/3 cup Semolina(Sooji)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
Process:
1.In a bowl add condense milk and then add 1 cup oil measure with condense milk can.
2.Now add 2 beaten eggs ,fresh cream, baking powder,vanilla essence and semolina(sooji) mix well until all things blend with perfectly.
3.Now preheat oven and on medium heat or 200C for 30 Minutes.
4.In a saucepan,add sugar,water and mix well,bring it to boil & cook until sugar is dissolved.Now on a cooked basbusa add syrup and keep it until syrup is completely absorbed.
5.Delicious Basbusa is Ready.
2.Basbousa Cake with Almonds & Coconut Recipe Food Fusion
Ingredients:
- Prepare Sugar Syrup:
- Sugar 1 & ½ Cup
- Water 2 Cups
- Green cardamom 2
- Lemon juice ½ tbs
- Prepare Basbousa Cake with semolina & almonds:
- Almonds ½ Cup
- Eggs) 4
- Sugar ½ Cup
- Semolina(Sooji) sifted 2 Cups
- Khopra (Desiccated coconut) 1 Cup
- Yogurt ½ Cup
- Full cream Milk 1 Cup
- All-purpose flour) ½ Cup
- Baking powder 2 tsp
- Butter melted ¾ Cup
- Vanilla essence 1 tsp
- Almonds
1.In a saucepan,add sugar,water and mix well,bring it to boil & cook until sugar is dissolved.
2.Add green cardamom,lemon juice,mix well & cook for 2-3 minutes (one string consistency).
3.Let it cool.
4.Prepare Basbousa cake with semolina & almonds:
5.In a grinder,add almonds,grind coarsely & set aside.
6.In a bowl,add eggs,sugar & whisk well until sugar is dissolved.
7.Add semolina,desiccated coconut,coarsely ground almonds,yogurt,milk,all-purpose flour,baking powder (sift with the help of sifter),melted butter,vanilla essence & mix until well combined.
8.Grease 10-inch baking dish with butter,pour prepared batter,spread evenly and tap few times.
9.Decorate with the whole almonds,cover with cling film & let it rest for 20-30 minutes.
10.Bake in preheated oven at 200C for 30 minutes.
11.Remove basbousa from the oven,cut into desired shape and immediately pour prepared sugar syrup while it is still hot.
12.Let it rest for 30 minutes or until syrup is absorbed then serve!
3.Basbousa Cake (Semolina Cake)
Ingredients
- 3 Eggs
- 1 ½ cup Semolina
- ½ cup Sugar
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- ½ cup Cream
- 1 cup Oil
- 1 tsp Vanilla essence
- 1/3 cup Milk Cream ingredients:
- 2 cups Milk
- 4 tbsp Corn Starch
- 4 tbsp Sugar
- ½ cup Cream
- ½ tsp Vanilla essence
- 2 cups Sugar Syrup
- Sugar syrup:
- 1 & ½ cup sugar
- 2 cups Water
1.In bowl add eggs and beat well. Add sugar mix it well for few minutes. Then add oil, mix it well.
2.Now add cream, vanilla essence, semolina, crushed coconut, baking powder and mix it well. Add milk, mix it well. Divide batter into two equal portions.
3.Grease the baking pan and pour one part of the batter then bake it for 13 minutes at 180°C.
4.In a pan add milk, bring to boil then add corn starch, stir continuously & bring it to boil until thickens. Off the flame then add cream and vanilla essence. Mix it well. Divide cream mixture into two equal parts as well. Add coco powder in one part of the cream batter and pour it immediately over the baked cake, then pour remaining cake batter. Bake it again for 18-20 minutes at 180°C OR until the skewer comes out clean.
5.In a pan add sugar and water let it cook until thickens. Sugar syrup is ready.
6.Pour it on baked cake and refrigerate it for 4-6 hours.
- 1 cup + 1/3 cup semolina ( 250 g )
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar ( 60 g )
- 1/3 cup refined oil or butter ( 80 ml )
- 1/2 cup coconut powder ( 50 g )
- 1 cup milk ( 250 ml )
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- sugar syrup:
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 lemon slice
- 1 tsp rose water or kewra water or orange blossom
- GREASE SOME BUTTER ON FRY PAN
- DUST SOME SEMOLINA
- 1/2 CUP OIL
- 1 CUP MILK
- MIX WELL
- ¼ CUP FRESH ORANGE JUICE
- MIX
- 1.5 CUP SEMOLINA
- 1 CUP POWDER SUGAR
- 1 TEASPOON BAKING POWDER
- ½ TEASPOON BAKING SODA
- 1 TEASPOON ORANGE ZEST
- POUR THE BATTER INTO FRY PAN
- PUT THE PAN ON A STOVE & COVER WITH LID
- COOK IN VERY LOW HEAT FOR 50-55 MIN.
- BASBOUSA IS READY, COOL COMPLETELY
- ½ CUP FRESH ORANGE JUICE
- ¼ CUP SUGAR
- COOK UNTIL IT’S BECOME BOILING
- ½ CUP SUGAR
- 2 TEASPOON WATER
- COOK & STIR UNTIL IT’S BECOME CARAMELIZED
- TURN OFF THE STOVE
- POUR ¼ CUP WHIPPING CREAM
- POUR THE ORANGE SYRUP
- POUR CARAMEL OVER THE BASBOUSA
- DRAW LARGE SWIRL WITH WHIPPED CREAM
- DRAW THE LINES WITH A THIN STICK
- CUT AS SLICES
